The Lakese Hot Springs, also known as Mount Layton Hot Springs, are located in Mount Layton, Bc. Lakelse is a group of hot springs situated 30 kilometers (19 miles) Highway 37 runs south of Terrace along the eastern shore of Lakelse Lake in northern British Columbia, Canada. The springs are the hottest in Canada, with a mean temperature of 89 °C. They are said to be the second-largest hot springs in North America and the third-largest in the world.

There isn’t much going on here today. Any small ponds have been dug by enthusiasts. We’d love to see more photos of this.

Four therapeutic pools and waterslides were available. The Main Pool (30°C/90°F) has a wide bathing room, a dive pool, and a roped-off wading pool for younger visitors. A soak in the Hot Tub pool’s soothing mineral water (41°C/105°F). can provide relief from rheumatism, arthritis, and skin ailments. Visitors and residents appreciate the medicinal appeal of the abundant non-sulfur mineral water treated with an ozone filter, the first in Canada by a public pool. With the economic crisis, this establishment was forced to close and attempts to restart as recently as 2015 were futile.

The indoor high-rise Splashdown Slides (30°C/90°F), the Cannonball Drop, the Turtle waterslides (32°C/93°F) for younger children, and the UFO water playground water fountain park were among the attractions enjoyed by children and thrill-seekers. Two outdoor slides lead to a big wading pool.
