Choquette Hot Springs Park, along the Stikine River, protects many hot springs that emerge from granitic rocks at the valley wall’s base or from mud just beyond.

The hot springs’ unusual conditions cause plants to grow all year and are associated with rare plant, algae, and Archaebacteria species.
