This spring originates from a crack in the bedrock near Kid Point in Goat Harbor on the east side of Ursula Reach / Ursula Channel, about 20 kilometers south of Bishop Bay. The water is hot, but there are no opportunities for soaking because the source is atop steep cliffs.

The earliest recording of this spring was Captain George Vancouver’s expedition (1791–1795), which is well documented as a mapping/survey voyage that used boat parties to examine and chart coasts/inlets/channels in detail. They recorded/noted a hot spring at Goat Harbour.
